Standards

Code of Conduct

Expected conduct, fair process and proportionate action across Academy activity.

Expected conduct

  • Act honestly and do not misrepresent status, evidence, qualifications or UKAAS authority.
  • Treat others with dignity and do not harass, discriminate, intimidate or retaliate.
  • Respect confidentiality, intellectual property, safeguarding duties and data protection.
  • Declare relevant conflicts and do not use Academy activity for undisclosed private advantage.
  • Correct a material error and cooperate with a proportionate inquiry.

Process and outcomes

A concern is triaged for jurisdiction, urgency and safeguarding risk. The person affected receives adequate notice and a fair opportunity to respond unless an immediate interim restriction is necessary.

Outcomes may include no action, advice, correction, conditions, warning, suspension, ending or revocation. Reasons, evidence and conflicts are recorded, and a review route is available for material procedural or factual error.

Governance

Membership, Fellowship and Honorary Fellowship are governed by their respective published terms, regulations and standards.
