Division profile
Academic remit
The Division unites mathematical, physical, chemical, Earth and environmental inquiry into the structures, processes and measurable laws of the natural world.
The Division coordinates disciplinary expertise across its Sections. It supports evidence review, reviewer routing and programme development, but does not operate as a separate legal body or independently confer Fellowship.

Classification and review
Applicants select a primary Section within this Division when it best represents the main body of work submitted for assessment. UKAAS may correct an allocation where the evidence is more appropriately reviewed elsewhere.
A secondary classification may record substantial cross-disciplinary practice. It neither creates a second Fellowship nor changes the fee, title or FAAS(UK).
