Before payment
- Show the product, term, total price, tax treatment and renewal setting.
- Do not preselect auto-renewal or marketing.
- Identify when service begins and how to cancel.
- Record the accepted terms version and timestamp.
Fourteen-day request route
A consumer may submit an online cancellation request within 14 days of joining. UKAAS applies the published full terms, any informed request for immediate service and applicable statutory rights. The route must not be hidden behind a telephone-only or burdensome process.
Renewal and failed payment
- Renewal reminders are planned for 30 and 7 days before collection.
- Turning off renewal does not remove an already-paid term.
- A failed payment may enter a 14-day grace period before lapse.
- A price change is notified at least 30 days before it affects a renewal and does not increase the current paid term.
Exceptions and fairness
Event tickets, immediately supplied digital content, personalised items and services already performed may have separate lawful rules. Nothing in UKAAS terms excludes statutory rights or permits an arbitrary forfeiture unrelated to the contract and circumstances.
