Academy Membership

• Standard Academy Member — £180 for 12 months.
• Early Career Academy Member — £90 for 12 months.
• Student Academy Member — £45 for 12 months.
• Retired Academy Member — £90 for 12 months.

Applicants must be aged 18 or over, provide accurate identity and contact information, and have a genuine connection with scholarship, research, the arts, professional practice, education, public service or an Academy field. UK nationality or residence is not required.

• Early Career applies within the published early-career period following entry to professional practice or the highest relevant qualification.
• Student applies to current substantial study with an eligible institution or programme.
• Retired applies to people substantially retired from their principal paid occupation.
• UKAAS may request proportionate evidence, correct an unsuitable category or suspend activation while a material discrepancy is resolved.

• Member communications and designated digital lectures.
• Participation in Divisions, Sections and cross-Academy networks where places are available.
• Published member rates for selected events, programmes and publications.
• Calls for volunteering, mentoring and public-interest activity as programmes develop.
• A private account record; no public member listing is created by default.

The subscription lasts 12 months from activation. The final price, category, renewal choice and next payment date are presented before an order is confirmed. Optional extras and marketing consent are separate choices.

Auto-renewal is not enabled unless expressly selected. Turning it off preserves the paid period. Renewal reminders and an online cancellation route are provided under the Academy Membership Terms and applicable consumer law.

Academy Membership creates no title, post-nominal, Fellowship preference or presumption of merit. Membership status, payment history, donations and attendance are not provided to Fellowship assessors.

A Member who later becomes a Fellow retains the remainder of the already-paid Membership period. Standard digital participation is then included with Fellowship, and further Academy Membership renewal is not required.
