Welcome to UK Academy of Arts and Sciences

UK Academy of Arts and Sciences has opened its public platform for Fellowship, Academy Membership, academic divisions, programmes and institutional publications.

A series of Academy lectures across academic and professional subjects

UK Academy of Arts and Sciences has opened its public website and institutional platform. The site brings together the Academy's public record, Fellowship framework, Academy Membership, academic divisions and developing programme of publications and events.

An interdisciplinary Academy

UKAAS provides a common institutional setting for work across the arts, humanities, social and behavioural sciences, mathematical and physical sciences, life and health sciences, engineering and applied sciences. Five Academic Divisions and their disciplinary Sections provide the formal classification used for applications, review and the Fellow Directory.

Fellowship and participation

Fellowship recognises verified achievement and contribution through published criteria, evidence review and an institutional decision. It is free to apply for and hold. Academy Membership is a separate participation relationship and is neither a prerequisite nor an advantage in Fellowship assessment.

Publications and the public record

News, perspectives and publications will identify their authorship, editorial status and publication date. Material corrections or withdrawals will remain traceable through the institutional record. Items concerning individuals will be published only after the relevant decision, notification and authority to publish have been recorded.

The next stage

The public platform will develop through verified Fellow profiles, academic and professional exchange, approved events and carefully reviewed publications. New material will be added when the underlying information and permissions are complete.
