UK Academy of Arts and Sciences has opened its official accounts on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and X. The channels extend access to the Academy's published institutional record and provide direct routes to news, Perspectives, publications and confirmed public work.

The website at ukaas.org remains the authoritative source for the Academy's identity, governance, standards and current institutional information. Social media posts will direct readers to that record rather than replace it.

Official channels

The common tag for official Academy posts is #UKAAS.

An extension of the institutional record

Each platform serves a different form of public exchange. LinkedIn will carry institutional and professional updates. Facebook will provide accessible notices and links for a broad public audience. Instagram will present selected visual material from the Academy's work. X will provide concise publication notices and links to the underlying record.

The status of an announcement is determined by its source and approval, not by the platform on which it appears. Formal information concerning Fellowship, governance, programmes, appointments or institutional relationships takes effect only through the applicable approved record published by the Academy.

Editorial scope

The channels will publish confirmed institutional news, Academy Perspectives, publications, standards material and public notices. Events, programmes, appointments and partnerships will be described as established only after the relevant authority, evidence, rights and approval checks are complete.

Attributed commentary will remain distinguishable from an institutional position. A follow, reply, repost, share or third-party mention does not by itself constitute endorsement, appointment, affiliation or recognition by UK Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Accuracy, correction and privacy

Social publication is subject to the same requirements of accuracy, attribution and proportionate disclosure that govern the Academy's website. Material errors will be corrected, with a link to the authoritative record where context or revision history is required.

Personal information will not be published merely because it is available elsewhere. The Academy will identify Fellows, office-holders, contributors or institutional representatives only where the relevant status is confirmed and publication is authorised. Private contact details and unrelated personal information remain outside the public editorial record.

About the campaign graphic

The accompanying image is an institutional campaign graphic for multidisciplinary scholarship and public exchange. The individuals shown are not identified as Fellows, office-holders, staff or representatives of UK Academy of Arts and Sciences. Their appearance in the graphic must not be interpreted as evidence of an appointment, endorsement or institutional relationship.

Following the Academy's work

The new channels provide additional ways to encounter the Academy's public work while preserving one authoritative institutional source. Readers may follow the account most relevant to them and consult ukaas.org for the current record.
